Fishers Island Sheriff's Department
The primary law enforcement faction on Fisher's Life is the Fishers Island Sheriff's Department (FISD). The Sheriff's Department is composed of multiple divisions to ensure smooth daily operations of the FISD.
The FISD is responsible for protecting and serving the citizens of the island. FISD officers are trained to prioritize the lives of citizens over their own, in the name of order and the island's safety.
Anyone wishing to join the FISD must apply by sending an application via the email system to: human.resources@fisd.gov
Applications must be unique. Copies will be rejected, and this will prevent you from applying to any other faction on the server.
This division allows officers to have a trained dog, conduct inspections, and search for drugs across the island.
The Legal Team is the legal division of the FISD. They can appear in court during trials.
This tactical intervention team responds to situations requiring specialized equipment and strategies. The ERT often handles barricaded suspects, hostage situations, and major crimes.
The Detective Division investigates crimes on the island, focusing primarily on organized crime.
The Highway Patrol is the primary department for monitoring and intervention. This division ensures the safety and well-being of island residents and tourists.
The MRTM is Fishers Island's maritime and aviation division. They are authorized to use helicopters as needed or patrol the island's surrounding waters.
The Corrections division manages the Department of Corrections (DOC), the Fishers Island prison. These officers are responsible for maintaining prisoners, the prison, and evidence storage. They are also tasked with emptying the evidence warehouse when full and transferring seized items from various posts to the DOC warehouse.

To access the MDT, you can use any FISD (or emergency) vehicle equipped with a passenger-side computer. Rotate the computer and open it to access the MDT. If no computer is available, you can use the “Tab” key in unequipped emergency vehicles.
Key Information:
At the start of your shift, retrieve your service vehicle from the garage and open the MDT inside. Begin by entering your unit information, such as callsign (e.g., Adam 1/2/3), specialization (if applicable), initial status (to be updated by dispatch), base location (where you remain when not on a call), and any additional information as needed.
When you open the MDT, the screen will display the following (these images are from the FIFR MDT but are identical for the FISD):
The MDT is divided into sections such as unit lists and information (top left - red), dispatch details (bottom left - green), and additional information fields. Further details are shown in subsequent images.

The FISD must manage its stock carefully. Like any citizen, the FISD relies on businesses to manufacture:
Contracts are signed between businesses and the FISD, with blueprints provided for production.
The weekly budget for the FISD is allocated by the Department of Justice. Factors affecting the budget include:
Salaries are directly deducted from the faction's bank account, requiring careful budget management to avoid equipment shortages or unpaid employees.
