Fishers Island Fire & Rescue
The main faction on FYD is the Fishers Island Fire & Rescue (FIFR). The Fire & Rescue department includes several divisions to ensure the smooth daily operation of the FIFR.
The FIFR is responsible for protecting and serving the citizens of the island. FIFR personnel are trained to prioritize the lives of citizens above their own.
Anyone wishing to join the FIFR must apply by sending an application via the email system to: hr@firerescue.gov
Applications must be unique. Copies will be rejected and will disqualify you from applying to any other faction on the server.
The Recruitment and Training division handles recruitment and training for new members of the FIFR, whether they are interns or volunteers. Everyone is welcomed and trained equally.
This division, the Fire Marshal, is responsible for the safety of Fishers Island residents. They ensure that fire alarms in professional premises are operational and compliant.
The SAR division is the aerial unit of the FIFR. They respond quickly to intervention sites.

To access the MDT, you can enter any FIFR (or general emergency) vehicle. If the vehicle is equipped with a passenger-side computer, you can rotate it and open it to access the MDT. If no computer is present, you can access it using the “Tab” key in non-equipped emergency vehicles.
Important notes:
At the start of your shift, retrieve your service vehicle from the station garage and open the MDT inside. Enter your unit information, such as your callsign (Ambulance 1/2/3/...), specialization, initial status (to be updated by dispatch), base location, and any additional notes as needed.
When you open the MDT, you will see the following screen:
The MDT has several sections: “Unit List and Information” (top-left in red), “Unit Details” (bottom-left in green), and “Information Input.” The remaining sections are explained in later images.
Dispatch and call management overview:
The bottom-left (pink) section allows unit management. To select a unit, choose its name from the dropdown (small #1). The bottom-right (purple) section shows calls, lets you manage them, or self-assign interventions.
If you’re on duty alone, you must manage yourself, assigning your interventions. If dispatch is active, they will update your status and assign calls directly.
Command options:
The top-right (blue) section contains commands essential to FIFR operations.
Blood donations are essential for the FIFR. Without them, they cannot maintain a stock of blood bags to treat residents. Regular blood drives are organized to encourage participation.
